Marcia Jackson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked in the social work field for 15 years in various capacities. Marcia's therapeutic approach deals with the whole person. She looks at the individual, their environment and the many factors that make up who they are. She then works with the individual, focusing on their strengths, to discover the person they are meant to be.
Marcia's experience includes work with Mutual Ground in Aurora, IL with training in Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. Marcia has worked with children and adolescents in a child welfare capacity as well as inpatient behavioral health. She was also licensed as a foster parent in 2005 and has worked with children who are in the foster care system as well as children who were adopted.
More recently, Marcia has worked with the elderly, counseling them and their families, coordinating their care and advocating for their needs. Marcia has also worked with dual diagnosed clients who are dealing with mental health issues as well as substance abuse.
Marcia has up to date experience and training to work with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, family relationships and parenting challenges. She also has a passion for the elderly and care givers and the many obstacles they face.
Marcia is the mother of three children, two adult children and one teenager. She enjoys traveling, gardening, decorating, hiking, and nature.
